Yr 8 student Izzy Plummer attended the YRE National Workshop Day to learn more about the environment and journalism.
The Yr 9 water quality team, lead by Azaria, spent the afternoon showing other students what life is found in our local stream, as part of the Lucas Creek Exhibition.
Yr 10 students Arthur, Charlie and Blake volunteered their time to clean up a local reserve and planted 206 trees as part of their community project this year.

The new Sustainabiliity Council here at Kristin met with the Enviro group at Pinehurst School today, to discuss environmental issues both our schools face and talk with Morag Vasilaki from Auckland Council Enviroschools programme.
The Yr 9 Lucas Creek project is well underway and students from 9JSO are finding ways to improve the water quality in our school stream. Students are working with Sophie from Whitebait Connection.
